Before, During, After Stories (BDA's)

One way Christians can be empowered to share their faith is to be prepared with their testimony.  One's testimony is very powerful and can help others see the importance of coming into a relationship with Christ.  A testimony can easily be broken down into three parts: what you were like before you met Christ, what occurred during your transition into Christianity, and how you changed after you developed a relationship with Jesus (BDA).  And if you grew up in church and have always had a relationship with Christ, then you could share a BDA about how God made a significant impact in your life during a recent event.

Opportunities can open up at anytime for you to share your testimony: at work, at the grocery store, at your kid's sporting events, in your neighborhood.  Make sure you prepare so you can have the awesome experience of blessing someone with your life changing story.  Who knows, it could change their life!?!

God's Good News

Sharing your faith is something Christians are called to do (Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter:3:15).  Sometimes this sounds overwhelming and scary.  But please don't worry or be fearful!  By no means do you need to explain the entire Bible to someone wanting to know more about Christianity.  However, knowing how to simply and clearly explain God's good news is crucial.  Jericho Ridge Community Church nicely summarizes from Bill Hybel's book, Just Walk Across the Room, which offers some suggestions on how to share the good news.  Click here for the explanations about each.
