Faith in Action is Coming!!!
 Faith in Action Sunday will be here before we know it. On Sunday Oct 24, 2010, we will have one very short church service at 9:00 am, after which the church will “take it to the streets” and BE the church in the community. We will reach out to our community by performing acts of Christian love and service. Get together with your Neighborhood Group, your Sunday School Class, or any group of friends, and look around your neighborhood, identify a need, and make preparations to address that need on Faith in Action Sunday, Oct 24. Don’t miss this event – you will touch others’ lives and you will be blessed.

Car Donations Needed
We have initiated the establishment of a car assistance program to help needy families in our church and community with the donation of a car. If you have a car that is operational (or nearly operational), and you no longer want that car, then would you please consider donating it to our fledgling car assistance program? If you have an unneeded car and want more information about this new ministry or if you have auto mechanic skills and want to help with this ministry, please contact Jack Specht at 817-996-2510

United Methodist Women (UMW) Mission of the Month
UMW's Mission of the Month for September is the Eagle Mountain Pregnancy Help Center located on Jacksboro Highway in Lake Worth. They have many needs at this time: diapers sizes 2 to 5, diaper cream, wipes, new boys and girls sleepers sizes 18 to 24 months, and gently used cribs and pack & plays. If you would like to help out with any of these items, there will be a plastic bin by the Mission desk for your donations. Thanks for all you help with our monthly mission projects.
