After School Program Help Needed
THIS VALUABLE PROGRAM PROBABLY WON’T HAPPEN IF WE CAN’T HELP. ONE PERSON HAS ENTHUSIASTICALLY VOLUNTEERED, BUT WE NEED SEVERAL MORE TO MAKE IT WORKABLE.
There is a large apartment complex in Lake Worth that sponsors an after-school program for their residents, but they need volunteers to staff the program. The apartment complex provides the facilities, snacks, games, basketball court, etc. There are usually 10-20 first through seventh graders who attend. They have an immediate need for an organization to provide two volunteers to supervise and mentor the students from 3:00 – 5:30 Monday through Friday on school days. If you have questions or interest in helping with this program, please call Jack Specht at 817-996-2510.
Kairos Team Needs Your Help
The Kairos Team is preparing for their weekend ministry at Boyd prison scheduled for March 18 - 22. The team needs your help. Would you please come by the Missions Table and
- sign the prayer chain and pray for the men on that weekend
- sign the Kairos poster
- buy a $5.00 meal ticket for a prisoner
- agree to make cookies that the Kairos team distributes to the prisoners on the Kairos Weekend. The team needs several thousand dozen cookies by Mar 17. Any that you could make would be great. They can be made now and frozen until Mar 17. Get details from the Missions Table or Bud Hughes at 817-996-3872.
Your prayers and support are critical to the Kairos effort. Unless you’re involved in Kairos prison ministry, it is difficult to understand the how these few, simple things can have such a significant affect on men’s lives, but they do. If you have any questions, please contact Bud Hughes at 817-996-3872.

Bring Food for Community Link and NICA
During Feb, Mar, and Apr, we are collecting as many can goods and dollars as possible to give to NICA and Community Link. Alan Feinstein from Rhode Island is giving $1,000,000 to agencies based upon the amount of donations they collect between now and Apr 30. Help the hungry in Fort Worth by bringing can goods and dollars to the Mission Table so that NICA and Community Link can earn a greater portion of the $1,000,000 donation.
